This research analyses the potential impacts of advanced driver assistance systems. It also investigates how automated and connected vehicle technologies affect traffic flow and road capacity.

The research consists of:

  • a review of existing evidence and ongoing research
  • modelling analysis to quantify the potential impacts in a range of scenarios
