Details
If you’re a driving instructor or motorcycle instructor, you can use the marking sheet when you do mock tests for pupils.
The forms include guidance notes about how to use them. You can also read the guidance for driving examiners about assessment and marking.
If you’re a learner driver, there’s separate guidance about understanding your driving test result.
How driving examiners record test results
Driving examiners now record driving test results digitally on a tablet. They only use these paper forms if there’s a problem with their tablet.
You must not use a digital version of this form on a tablet during driving lessons. It’s illegal to use a tablet when you’re supervising a provisional licence holder.
During a driving lesson, you’re supervising your pupil and must be in control of the vehicle at all times.
The law says that driving examiners are not supervising drivers, which is why they can use a tablet.
