Highlights of the DVLA annual report and accounts:
- we issued 10.6 million driving licences and 12.9 million registration certificates
- 47.1 million customers taxed their vehicles with 39.8 million (84.5%) choosing to do so online
- launched a new service for company tachographs
- placed as the UK’s number 1 Public Service national organisation by the Institute of Customer Service
- we retained both the Customer Service Excellence and Customer Contact Association standards
- we achieved £9 million cost reduction in year
- we collected over £6 billion in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)
- we won several awards including:
- winner at the Public Sector Paperless awards for our Personalised Registration service
- winner at the Public Finance Innovation awards
- winner of the Fair Play Employer awards
- winner at the Business Continuity awards
- we raised £58,803 for our Charity of Choice 2018, Maggie’s Swansea
