Here are some of DVLA’s key achievements for 2021-22 included in this year’s report:
- we issued 12.5 million driving licences and 17.8 million registration certificates
- 46.7 million customers taxed their vehicles with 99% choosing to do so digitally
- we collected over £7 billion in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)
- we opened a new customer service centre in Birmingham
- we achieved planned IT service availability of 99.91% for our digital services
- we retained the Customer Service Excellence Standard for the 14th consecutive year
- we processed nearly 3.5 billion automated and digital interactions via our enquiry platforms
- we launched our new tachograph driver card digital service
