Details

The following includes some of DVLA’s achievements for 2023 to 2024 included in this year’s report. We:

  • processed 95.5 million individual customer transactions, 84% of which were processed through digital channels
  • processed 4.4 billion digital interactions
  • collected over £7.8 billion in Vehicle Excise Duty (VED)
  • reached a historic milestone by launching the Driver and vehicles account in August 2023
  • raised more than £276 million for HM Treasury and the Department for Transport in 2023 to 2024, through the sale and transfer of personalised registrations
  • answered 6.3 million calls and a further 5.9 million calls were answered through our Interactive Voice Recognition systems
  • retained our Customer Service Excellence accreditation for the 16th year
