  1. Local authorities can request changes to their e-scooter trials from 17 January.

  2. A new driving licence verification procedure starts on 5 December 2023 for all new and existing active participants of the e-scooter trials.

  3. Updated to reflect additional trial requirements from 1 April 2022 including the need for e-scooters to display a unique identification number (UIN).

  4. Added annex detailing minimum technical requirements for e-scooters.

  5. Corrected the definition of an e-scooter.
