The Economic Crime Survey (ECS) was conducted by IFF Research in 2020 with 5,000 businesses across seven sectors (construction, real estate, financial and insurance services, legal services, mining and quarrying, wholesale and retail, and information and communication).

The research report provides Home Office analysis of the survey results on incidents of fraud and corruption experienced by businesses in the three years prior to survey. Areas covered include the prevalence, incidence, financial and other impacts of fraud and corruption; the nature of the different types of fraud and corruption experienced; and organisational responses.
