2024 UK-Ecuador Double Taxation Agreement — in force
The Double Taxation Agreement was signed in Quito on 7 August 2024. It entered into force on 19 December 2024.
The agreement takes effect in the UK from:
- 1 January 2025 for taxes withheld at source
- 6 April 2025 for Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax
- 1 April 2025 for Corporation Tax
The agreement takes effect in Ecuador from 1 January 2025 for taxes on income.
