These publications explore the demographic, education, and children’s social care background of those cautioned or sentenced for a serious violence offence or for any offence. They include:

- a descriptive statistics document exploring how children’s education and social care factors relate with offending behaviours
- tables of supporting data and a variable list
- a research report, technical report and tables looking at the characteristics of children who have been cautioned or sentenced for an offence (multi-level modelling)
Descriptive statistics documents, exploring how demographic, children’s education and social care factors relate with offending behaviours in 10 local authorities, are available on the National Archives. The local authority level dashboard provides a more up to date version of this data for all local authorities.
