2. Release
The EFA uses IT services provided by 2 main suppliers: the Department for Education and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA). As the EFA is an executive agency of the Department for Education, your questions about IT systems and services have been answered using information provided by the department.
- On 7 January 2013, the EFA employed 673 people (headcount), providing the equivalent of 654.47 full-time staff.
- The EFA was formed on 1 April 2012, and was therefore not in operation during the financial year 2011 to 2012.
- The headquarters address of the EFA is 53-55 Butts Park Road, Earlsdon, Coventry, CV1 3BH.
- The chief executive and accounting officer of the EFA is Peter Lauener.
- The EFA does not have an IT department.

- There are 103 desktop machines in the EFA, which are provided by the SFA. As an example, the departmental Microsoft exchange servers are used to provide email services for the entire department and all of the executive agencies, not just the EFA. The department currently has 284 physical servers, some of which will provide services consumed by EFA. The SFA may be able to supply information on servers that support specific EFA business applications.
