1. Information: post-16 funding in 2015 to 2016

EFA has written to all EFA funded post-16 providers with information about funding for students aged 16 to 19 and high needs students aged 16 to 25 in 2015 to 2016.

2. Information: capital funding to support local authorities implementing UIFSM in maintained schools, including voluntary-aided schools

The Department for Education has launched a bidding round for local authorities to apply for £20m capital funding to support the implementation of Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM).

3. Action: 16 to 19 Bursary Fund - 2013 to 2014 management information (MI) return

The 16 to 19 Bursary Fund management information return for the completed 2013 to 2014 academic year is currently open. All institutions that had access to bursary funding in 2013 to 2014 are asked to complete a return by 31 October – if they have not already done so.

The return form may be accessed either through the EFA Information Exchange or directly via GOV.UK.

Institutions are encouraged to read the brief supporting notes before completing the return, and will require their Unique Provider Identification Number (UPIN) to start the form.

4. Information: Ebola advice for schools and colleges

Public Health England (PHE), in conjunction with the Department for Education, has produced advice for schools, colleges, childcare and residential settings to ensure people are properly informed about the Ebola virus.
