BEIS commissioned Element Energy to carry out a study analysing the options for off-gas grid homes to switch to direct electric heating systems, including:
- electric panel heaters
- storage heaters
- electric boilers
- radiant/infra-red heating
Heat pumps are excluded from this study, but we have published a complementary study on heat pumps.
BEIS commissioned NNFCC to carry out a study analysing the options for off-gas grid homes to switch to bioenergy based heating systems. This covers:
- bio-liquid and bio-LPG boilers
It excludes solid biomass boilers.
