This guidance provides the tasks required to be completed by Merchant Navy Electro-Technical Rating (III/7), leading to the issue of a UK licence.

This is guidance to all Owners, Masters, Officers, Ratings and those concerned with maritime training. This guidance replaces the syllabuses published on UK seafarer careers: Training provision, information and examination syllabuses. This replacement has been made for formatting and accessibility purposes only, no content has been amended during this move.
