Details

The Housing Act 2004 provides a new discretionary power for local authorities to take over the management of long-term privately owned empty homes.

The leaflet provides information to owners of empty properties to help them decide if their property is subject to an empty dwelling management order. It explains how empty dwelling management orders will be managed by the local authority and the owner’s right to appeal.
