Following reports that some prepayment meter customers are not receiving their vouchers under the government’s Energy Bills Support Scheme, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has written to CEOs asking how they plan to improve the situation – both getting vouchers to customers, and ensuring they are given prompt and accurate information.
This follows a commitment made by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy to look into allegations of customers not receiving vouchers. The commitment was made in media interviews by the Secretary of State on Monday, 28 November 2022.
