Details

On 17 March 2023, Natural England submitted a report to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs setting out proposed changes to the approved route of the King Charles III England Coast Path at Headon Warren, a section of the Isle of Wight stretch.

Read the variation report to find out why changes to the approved route are required.

The opportunity to comment closed at midnight on Friday 12 May 2023. You can no longer make a representation or objection on proposals.

Objections were passed to an independent planning inspector who made a recommendation to the Secretary of State about each one.

The Secretary of State considered all representations and objections before making a decision about Natural England’s proposals.

Outcome

On 28 March 2024, the Secretary of State announced their decision to approve the variation report for Headon Warren (VR1).
