Details

The English indices of deprivation 2019 measure relative levels of deprivation in small areas in England called lower-layer super output areas.

This report gives a fuller account of how to use and interpret the data, and presents some findings from the indices of deprivation 2019. This includes guidance on the set of summary statistics available for higher-level geographies such as local authority districts with an example of their use. It includes guidance on how to interpret change over time.
