Details

Assesses the costs and benefits of proposals to give the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) the power to suspend a consumer credit licence with immediate effect, where there is an urgent need to protect the interests of consumers.

This proposal is in response to recommendations in the Business, Innovation & Skills Select Committee report on debt management.
