This guidance accompanies:

• the Enterprise Act 2002 (Share of Supply) (Amendment) Order 2020
• the Enterprise Act 2002 (Turnover Test) (Amendment) Order 2020

which came into force on 21 July 2020.

It also consolidates:

• the Enterprise Act 2002 (Share of Supply Test) (Amendment) Order 2018
• the Enterprise Act 2002 (Turnover Test) (Amendment) Order 2018

It seeks to provide clear and practical advice to those affected, or potentially affected, by the amendments to the Act, including:

• explaining why the government amended the Act
• describing the legal and practical effects of the amendments
• offering advice to businesses and others about how they may be affected by the changes
