The Environmental Permitting Regulations 2016 SI 2016/1154 came into force on 11 December 2016 and require operators of certain industrial and waste facilities to obtain permits.
As the regulator, the Environment Agency (EA) will consult on certain permit applications to allow interested individuals and organisations to provide them with relevant information on issues related to an application that might affect them or upon which they have particular expertise.
