Details
The competition opened on 5 December 2016 and is now closed for stage 1 pre-proposals.
The aim of this solar competition is to improve Europe’s market share in solar photovoltaic (PV) and concentrating solar power (CSP) technologies.
The joint, co-funded competition is a transnational call for research and development (R&D) proposals. Projects should support the rapid development and implementation of solar technologies within the defined scope. Proposals should include R&D for the technology readiness levels (TRL) 4 to 7.
This competition is jointly funded under Horizon 2020’s ERA-NET Cofund Programme.
The national and regional funding bodies from participating countries and regions, including the UK, will jointly implement the funding.
From a UK perspective, we will consider the following topics:
- innovative and low-cost PV manufacturing issues
- advanced PV products and applications
- PV system integration
- aspects of CSP cost reduction and system integration
An online brokering webinar will take place on 12 December 2016 from 11am to 1pm.
The deadline for stage 1 pre-proposals is 4pm on 20 February 2017.
The deadline for stage 2 full proposals is 4pm on 14 June 2017.
Applicants will be notified by end of October 2017.
Projects start from December 2017.
Each country has its own eligibility criteria. Please refer to the competitions guidance: ERA-NET co-funding competition solar.
If your project progresses to a stage 2 full proposal, UK applicants will be required to complete a UK finance form which will be emailed directly to participants. This form must be returned to Innovate UK by the deadline for stage 2 full proposals at 4pm on 14 June 2017. This is a separate and mandatory form, in addition to the ERANET application process.
