Applies to England
Documents
Details
The plan explains how the European Social Fund (ESF) programme intends to take gender equality and equal opportunities into account in everything it does by:
- making sure organisations that provide ESF services practice equality of opportunity – for example, through procurement and contract management processes
- funding services that are intended to improve equality of opportunity or provide specialist support, if appropriate
Mainstreaming
The titles of the documents include the word ‘mainstreaming’. This means that the programme plans to take gender equality and equal opportunities into account in everything it does.
Guide to measuring progress
Sometimes the progress that a project participant makes can’t be measured directly – for example, if the project has improved their confidence and chances of finding a job. This guide suggests ways to measure progress towards outcomes like this – Measuring soft outcomes and distance travelled.
