1. Action: academy budget forecast return outturn (BFRO)
The deadline for completing the BFRO is the 21 May 2018. This return captures academy trusts financial information to 31 March 2018. The BFRO detailed guidance page on GOV.UK includes information about how to access and submit the online form.
We’re hosting weekly Skype dial-ins for academy trust users to answer questions about the BFRO. If you would like to ask anything about the BFRO, then please dial in. These calls are every Wednesday between 1pm and 2pm throughout April and May.
Users who have Skype can access the meeting via this link: Join Skype Meeting. If you don’t have Skype, you can dial 0203 321 5238 and when prompted enter this code 7596 8164.
The BFRO is now on the same system as the accounts return and the land and buildings collection tool. This means that you need to use the same login details to access the BFRO.
To help trusts, we have automatically allocated the same roles to the people who had roles as a preparer or approver for their accounts return. If any roles in your trust have changed, or you have any queries about registering to use the online form, please refer to our academies financial returns online form registration page on GOV.UK.
