Equal opportunities and gender equality is a regulatory, cross-cutting theme for the European Social Fund (ESF) 2007 to 2013 programme. This good practice guide helps to make sure that the programme takes equality and diversity and the needs of ethnic minority communities into account.

The Equality Act 2010 has replaced the equality legislation referred to in this document.
