You may be able to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) as the family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss frontier worker (a person who works in the UK but lives elsewhere) if:
- your EU, EEA or Swiss citizen family member began working in the UK as a frontier worker on or before 11pm on 31 December 2020 and continues to do so
- the relationship with your family member began before 11pm on 31 December 2020, unless you were born to or adopted by your family member or their spouse or civil partner after this date, or you are the spouse or civil partner of a Swiss citizen and your relationship with them began between 31 December 2020 and 31 December 2025
- the relationship with your family member continues to exist at the date of application

If you are the family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen and you were living in the UK before 11pm on 31 December 2020 you may be able to apply to the EUSS as the family member of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen. The deadline to apply was 30 June 2021 for most people. You can still apply if you have ‘reasonable grounds’ for being unable to apply by 30 June 2021 - for example, you had an illness or were the victim of domestic abuse.
