The 2017 UK National Reform Programme sets out actions that the government is taking to address structural reform challenges facing the UK, in line with a set of country-specific recommendations endorsed by Heads of State or government at the European Council in July 2016. European Union member states submit a National Reform Programme before the end of April each year, as part of the ‘European Semester,’ a reporting cycle that brings together information on fiscal and structural policies for all member states.

The UK National Reform Programme, submitted on 21 April 2017, is drawn from information already in the public domain.
