List of EEA hallmarks recognised in the UK

Following a ruling by the European Court of Justice, the UK is required to accept other national hallmarks.

National hallmarks

Under the guidelines of the British Hallmarking Council, those national hallmarks deemed equivalent to UK hallmarks are listed in the table below:

  2. Note that changes to the French laws in 2004 mean that French hallmarks are no longer accepted in the UK.
