Community First Neighbourhood Match Fund Programme

The evaluation of the Community First Neighbourhood Match Fund is available at this link. A database has been compiled of 17,176 of the projects that were funded, which includes £25.9 million of expenditure, £90.6 million matched-funding and 5.3 million volunteering hours.

The database allows further analysis such as mapping of the projects and linking to local area datasets. In addition, the evaluation team have extracted key words from the project descriptions which can support text analysis. For instance, clustering text into common project types (see analysis at this link). As an example the team has created a simple interactive word cloud application (available at this link) based on analysis of 17,176 projects containing a key word.

In addition the evaluators for the programme IPSOS Mori conducted a survey of projects each year for three years. The detailed surveys and questions which have been published on this page include:

  • A description of the database
  • The database in .csv format
  • 2012-13 Projects Survey Questionnaire
  • 2013-14 Projects Survey Questionnaire
  • 2014-15 Projects Survey Questionnaire
  • The database in 360Giving format

360Giving supports organisations to publish their grants data in an open, standardised way and helps people to understand and use the data to help decision-making and learning.

The actual data files are available in SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) or STATA formats upon request.
