The Government Equalities Office commissioned research to to assess the short- and longer-term impacts of the work of the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Women Councillors Taskforce.

The aim of the research was to develop understanding about what has and what has not worked, how and why, in order to help improve future programmes and policy on increasing political representation among BAME women.
