This mixed-methods process evaluation presents information on the:

  • approaches to funding providers
  • alignment of projects funded with project aims
  • success factors and challenges in implementing the programme
  • effectiveness of recruitment and retention processes
  • extent activities were reaching intended participants
  • perceived benefits of participation in programme activities
  • sustainability of the approaches taken
  • lessons learned for future practice

This publication also includes a short, lessons learned report aimed at schools and providers of extra-curricular activities which focusses on lessons for practice based on the findings of the process evaluation.
