This quarterly data release publishes information on the number of EWS1 forms (or equivalent) that have been required on mortgage valuations for flats, as reported by 7 major lenders in the United Kingdom.

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has received monthly data in an aggregated, anonymised format for the period April 2021 to March 2022.

This data release does not constitute an Official Statistics or National Statistics release.

8 June 2022 correction

There was an error in the table headers in the supplementary ODS tables of this release, published 19 May 2022. In Table 3 cell B3 incorrectly read “April to December 2021”. The header has been corrected to “April 2021 to March 2022”. In Table 4 cells M3, N3 and O3 were incorrectly dated January, February and March 2021 . These dates have been corrected to January, February and March 2022.
