This COVID-19 regulatory position statement (RPS) allows you to temporarily store more waste than your permit allows if you cannot remove waste from your site because of coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.

If you follow the conditions in this COVID-19 RPS you can exceed waste storage limits without applying for a permit variation.

This COVID-19 RPS does not apply to radioactive waste or to mobile plant.

You must notify the Environment Agency by email enquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk before using this COVID-19 RPS.
