Details

The Expedited Return Scheme allows empty food vehicles travelling from the UK to the EU to be prioritised through the Kent Traffic Management System. This is so that they can restock in the EU and return with fresh supplies.

Vehicles carrying groceries to Gibraltar may also be prioritised, to make sure that there is no disruption to food supply in Gibraltar. This scheme will only be activated if there are significant delays at the Short Straits and food supply shows signs of disruption.
