This research explored complex businesses’ awareness of, and current practices relevant to, Making Tax Digital.

‘Complex businesses’ included large and mid-size incorporated companies and partnerships, which are likely to have complex tax affairs and multiple transactions with HMRC.

The research involved 42 face-to-face interviews with representatives from 42 mid-size and large businesses. Fieldwork was conducted in March and April 2017.
