In 2013, 26 extradition requests were made by the UK and 68 extradition requests were received by the UK.

The countries to which the UK has sent extradition requests that resulted in extradition during 2013 are as follows: Antigua, Australia, Canada, France, Ghana, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Morocco, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, Thailand, UAE and USA. Five people were extradited from Jamaica. There were fewer than 5 people extradited from each of the other countries.

The countries the UK received extradition requests from, which resulted in arrest during 2013, are as follows: Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, India, Moldova, Monaco, Norway, Peru, Poland, Russia, Seychelles, South Africa, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine and the USA. Five people were arrested as a result of extradition requests from Turkey and 7 people were arrested as a result of requests from the USA. There were fewer than 5 people arrested as a result of requests from each of the other countries.

The Home Office deals with non-EU requests on behalf of England, Wales and Northern Ireland only (except for a small number of requests under the Extradition Act 1989). Scotland deals with its own extradition cases. Where information is provided therefore, this only relates to requests handled by the Home Office.
