Details

The FCERM appraisal guidance was originally introduced in 2010. This updated technical guidance was released in 2022.

It explains how:

  • to complete an appraisal for an FCERM strategy or project in England
  • you can use this information to create a business case to support an application for FCERM funding in line with government policy

You should use this technical guidance if you are an FCERM practitioner who:

  • needs the specific techniques and approaches to carry out an appraisal
  • writes an FCERM business case

If you want to understand FCERM appraisal at a higher level you should read the appraisal manual. This provides an overview of the main steps involved in carrying out an appraisal.
