Details

The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) promotes transparency and integrity in business. It regulates auditors, accountants and actuaries, and sets the UK’s Corporate Governance and Stewardship Codes.

The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy has committed to, at least once in each Parliament, making recommendations to the FRC about aspects of the economic policy of the government to which the FRC should have regard to when advancing its objectives and discharging its duties.
