Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA): designated technical services

Directive compliance testing for Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) can only be done by a designated technical service authorised to carry out approval testing.

Details

Designated technical services authorised to carry out approval testing are listed on the European Commission’s website.

Testing facilities not listed may be suitable, but the test would need to be witnessed by a Type Approval authority, for example, the Vehicle Certification Agency.

You can also prove your vehicle is compliant using an IVA model report, which shows that your vehicle is the same specification as another.
