This document, FSR-C-126, was produced by the Fingerprint Quality Standards Specialist Group (FQSSG) to aid the standardisation of fingerprint terminology used by fingerprint practitioners delivering services to the criminal justice system in England and Wales.

It supersedes previous guidance issued in March 2015
