This guide is for all employers, managers and people responsible for outdoor events and venues including:

• zoos
• music concerts
• sporting events
• firework displays
• markets

This guide does not cover sports stadia, permanent buildings or structures, large temporary structures and air-supported structures.

This guide has been published by the Secretary of State under Article 50 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO) to assist responsible persons in meeting their duties under the FSO.
