Fish products: model health certificates
Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export fish products to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Details
Fish products exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.
Certificate GBHC400
Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.
Model health certificate for live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods (LBM).
Certificate GBHC401
Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.
Model official certificate for the entry into Great Britain, the Channel Islands and Isle of Man for placing on the market of fishery products (FP).
Certificate GBHC402
Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.
Model health certificate for fishery products caught by vessels flying the flag of a member state and transferred in third countries with or without storage (FPT).
Certificate GBHC403
Must be used from 30 April 2024 by all countries.
Certificate to be signed by the captain accompanying frozen fishery products when entering Great Britain for placing on the market directly from a freezer, reefer or factory vessel (CCFP).
Certificate GBHC202
Use this certificate from 21 June 2021.
Model health certificate for fishery products for human consumption (NZ) from New Zealand.

All old versions of certificates have been removed.

We have updated certificate GBHC400, GBHX401, GBHC402 and GBHC403. We have also updated the 'use from' dates for all fish product certificates. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.
