Details

The project takes a behavioural approach to understand the barriers that the fishing industry face when engaging with government. By using a behavioural lens, the MMO can tailor engagement and collaborative efforts when planning solutions. The barriers ranged in category, from motivation, choice, execution and outcome for the industry and solutions were suggested to fit these categories, with short-term and long-term solutions, with an understanding that there is no ‘one-size fits all’ approach when engaging with different groups of fishers.
