The variation effective from 00:01hrs Wednesday 17 July 2024 is as follows:  

1. 1. Over 10m Non-Sector Quota Increase

  • Affecting Over 10m licence categories A (11) and A (Islands) (12)

2. 2. Real Time Closure

  • Affecting Over 10m licence schedules A (11), A (Islands) (12), A (Pelagic) (17), B (31), and C (41), and 10m & Under licence schedules A (91), A (Limited) (94), and A (91) (PO)

2.1 In Over 10m Schedules:

REAL TIME CLOSURE 

32) The area, as delineated by straight lines between the following positions is closed to all gear types with the exception of pelagic gear (purse seine and trawl). 

The coordinates for the RTC are as follows: 

  1. 59˚46.7’N, 003˚46.8’W
  2. 59˚46.7’N, 003˚17.2’W
  3. 59˚31.7’N, 003˚46.8’W
  4. 59˚31.7’N, 003˚17.2’W

This closure will be valid from 17.07.2024 at 10:00 UTC until 02.08.2024 at 10:00 UTC. 

2.2 In 10m & Under schedules:

REAL TIME CLOSURE 

32) The area, as delineated by straight lines between the following positions is closed to all gear types with the exception of pelagic gear (purse seine and trawl). 

The coordinates for the RTC are as follows: 

  1. 59˚46.7’N, 003˚46.8’W
  2. 59˚46.7’N, 003˚17.2’W
  3. 59˚31.7’N, 003˚46.8’W
  4. 59˚31.7’N, 003˚17.2’W

This closure will be valid from 17.07.2024 at 10:00 UTC until 02.08.2024 at 10:00 UTC.

3. 3.   Catch Restriction

  • Affecting Over 10m licence schedules A (11), A (Islands) (12), B (31), and C (41)

21.2 The combined total landings of all pelagic species (other than pilchard (Sardinia pilchardus)) as defined in the Conditions to this licence, may not exceed 500 tonnes live weight between 1 Jan and 31 December inclusive in any given year.
