With our partners in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand, we support the approach the Commission has taken to ensure that the work protecting children online can continue as it did prior to 21 December 2020.

This statement emphasises the importance of service providers being able to legally scan for child sexual abuse material and firmly lends our support to the European Commission in resolving this issue.
