Register of flexi-job apprenticeship agencies

Flexi-job apprenticeship agencies recruit and employ apprentices and arrange placements with a variety of host businesses for the duration of an apprenticeship.

Anyone looking to become an apprentice through an agency, or businesses interested in hosting apprentices, should contact a flexi-job apprenticeship agency directly.

Agencies can help employers with non-standard employment models make greater use of apprenticeships. The Department for Education explained its ambition for flexi-job apprenticeship agencies in response to a consultation in 2021.

To operate as a flexi-job apprenticeship agency, organisations must be on the register of flexi-job apprenticeship agencies.

Applications to join the register closed on 31 May 2023.

From 1 January 2024, only organisations on the register will be permitted to start new apprenticeships that place apprentices with host businesses for the majority of their apprenticeship. Any organisation not on the register that arranges this type of apprenticeship after that date will be ineligible for government funding.
