This request relates to Monitor’s report on NHS adult hearing services in England which explores how choice is working for patients.

The request asks for information on:

  • the methodology of the research
  • the information gathered as part of the research including information relating to referral behaviours, choice constraint and prices paid for services
  • the steps taken by NHS Improvement since publication of the report

NHS Improvement held some of the information requested and decided to withhold some of it under sections 21, 41 and 43 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
