A request for the following information about requests for approval of interim VSM pay above £750 per day:

• the number of requests for approval received
• the number of posts covered by the requests
• the number of requests approved and refused
• a breakdown of applications received including trust involved, job title, proposed cost per day, length of contract and outcome
• the highest pay per day proposed in applications and the highest pay approved

NHS Improvement withheld some of the information requested on the basis of the exemptions in sections 31, 33, 43 and 40 of the FOI Act.
