Details

The FOI request asked various questions about the system for approval of Mutually Agreed Resignation/Voluntary Severance schemes adopted by NHS bodies.

The reply explains the process for NHS foundation trusts. In particular that approval is given by HM Treasury, rather than Monitor, and that Monitor does not receive details of the individuals who subsequently receive payments under such schemes.

It also explains where the public can find information about which trusts have such schemes, and the amounts paid.
