FOI ref 0606-14 provides Consular internal and public guidance including ‘Support for British Nationals Abroad: A guide’ for years 2009, 2010 and 2014 and guidance on the detention of British nationals abroad, the protocol for mistreatment complaints handling and, child custody hearings. Some information has been withheld under section 40 of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) as it would constitute a breach of the Data Protection Act to release it. Some redactions have been made under section 23 (relating to bodies dealing with security matters)
