  1. There is a joint Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office Unit for forced marriage. The forced marriage unit (FMU) operates a public helpline to provide advice and support to victims of forced marriage as well as to professionals dealing with cases. The FMU dealt with almost 1,500 calls relating to a forced marriage last year.

  2. The total allocated to the forced marriage unit (FMU) annually is £290,000 and is a combination of Home Office and Foreign and Commonwealth Office allocations.
